Group coaching as practice-focused development
The group members support each other in this process, which offers them different perspectives on their own goals. It also creates the opportunity for deeper relationship building, as the strong focus on helping each other can quickly form a close and trusting bond in which members rely on each other to achieve their individual goals. Group coaching allows the learning of coaching techniques in addition to giving the person the opportunity to achieve their goals and help others to achieve theirs. This intervention can be done as a stand alone with a group, as an organisational development intervention, or as an accompaniment to training programmes to implement what has been learned.
