The consulting addresses the following challenges faced by project managers:
- Rare project type, therefore there is no existent routine for its implementation
- A new factory has to be built, a new plant has to be set up, an existing plant has to be remodeled, transforming the different phases of the project from an operational project to an investment project, thus making the processes more complex
- No feasibility study prepared jointly by the seller and the acquirer
- Technical compliance is not achieved due to outdated documentation, and quality issues are detected in the product, the cause of which is difficult to identify
- It is not clearly defined which departments/roles should be involved in the task
- The employees concerned do not have a product transfer-specific or production resource-specific job description that defines the tasks they are to fulfil and the required competences
In the course of the product transfer consulting we use a complex methodology to prepare project managers and team members for the project implementation.
We support the project leaders in several aspects of their work
- Our facilitation continuously keeps the project in the centre of the organisation’s life, so that together with the project manager we reinforce the priority of the project
- We help stakeholders to get on board and prepare for project meetings and “one to one” sessions using case
- We help the project manager to apply the “Scale” method to balance the focus on outcome and process goals during meetings
- With the help of our Lean consultants, we support you by ensuring that your new factory/plant/workshop or one that is being remodeled meets the efficiency criteria
The project team is set up and developed in three consecutive steps
- Definition of transfer-specific competences and creation of corresponding job descriptions
- “Advance level” project management training (optional)
- Improving co-operation within the project team
