Senior LEAN consultant; Six Sigma Black Belt
Since my childhood, long distance running has played a significant role in my life. I think that the pleasant and relaxing solitude and monotony experienced during the run is just enough for me. That is why in my work, I look for variety, creativity and teamwork! I am delighted to be able to work in diverse business cultures, with old and new technologies, with different groups and on different issues. In addition, I find it important that as a consultant, I only need to work on important developments for the company.
Throughout my studies, I have learnt quite many process development methodologies and techniques, so I can always choose the most effective instrument to solve the given issue, and I do not have to cling to one or two tools. Also, as a young graduate engineer, I have already seen what a great experience and knowledge trained workers and group leaders working on the production line have, and that by involving them, how much more effectively sustainable developments can be invented and implemented; they are also essential in maintaining the developments. Throughout my work, I still strive to involve the widest range of people and aim for the employees to see me as a helpful “colleague” rather than an outsider “smart aleck”.
In Hungary, there might not be a county where I have not visited at least one production company, and I have quite diverse industry experiences (automotive industry, electronics assembly industry, meat industry, various food industries, engineering industry, metal and wood industry). While at the beginning of my consulting career, a higher percentage of our partners requested Lean and / or Six Sigma training, nowadays they are mostly just the first two or three steps of our cooperation, which are quickly followed by some kind of measurable improvement in the company’s high priority index. This can be a switch-time reduction on a bottleneck machine, freeing space required for a new production line, transit time reduction, timely delivery index development, scrap index or stock quantity reduction. Through the development of the production area, we get to the development to an office process more and more often, such as order processing, acquisition or billing, the operation of which also affects the production areas.
