CREATIVITY IN INNOVATION AND PROBLEM-SOLVING

Sämling Solution’s creativity development programme increases participants’ problem-solving and innovation capabilities. It also affects self-confidence about creativity.

One of the key messages of the training is that creativity is not an innate feature, but a character owned by all human beings that can be skilled any time Another key message of the training is that creativity is not art, but a problem-solving method. It is the creative idea that can become a new and relevant solution to a given problem.

WE RECOMMEND OUR TRAINING TO:

Colleagues whose work is about well-defined problems where it is not yet known how to reach the goal; or whose work is about poorly defined problems where not even the goals are known and for colleagues working in the field of innovation of a product or service.

COMPETENCES WE DEVELOP

During the training, we work with the attitude – being open to a creative way of thinking. Participants acquire many instruments and methods (skills), as well as they learn their working mechanisms (knowledge) too.

We work with scientifically proven theories and exercises during the training.

METHODOLOGIES WE USE

At the beginning of the training, we demonstrate the basic ways of being creative with the help of strong-impact own-experience exercises.

Later on, participants will be facing playful yet more demanding problems. They will need to apply all their knowledge learnt during the training to manage them.

An important part of our programme is to show participants what a supportive environment has as an impact for a creative process. Elements of this environment are: positive and supportive attitude, courage to exceed conventional thinking, humour and room for mistakes.

In the second half of the training, we focus on actual work-related tasks. In very specific situations, we focus on either innovation, or problem-solving, based on the needs of the organisation.

In case of groups consisting of leaders or facilitators, we also work on establishing the context for creative working.

In case of a group with participants working as a team, we focus more on group problem solving, thus the training can serve as a meaningful team cooperation programme too.
